HP Home Servers – gone from EU ?
After a quick call to a UK HP Distributor today, we are needing to pick ourselves up off the floor.
It seems that the older HP Home Servers (EX470 EX475) are now obsolete, and the new models (EX485 EX487) are not available, and will not be available here in EU /UK at any time soon, if ever.
When asked if they will be available at any time in the future, the answer was ‘no’ it’s a US product only.
the USD/UKP exchange rate may have something to do with it, or prioritising the home market first, or some other matter – who knows ?
Or maybe it is just an urban myth – or I need my ears cleaning out !
But if it is indeed true…… it’s a shame !
